Motorised blinds are quickly gaining in popularity. Not only because having them means you can open and close them with the use of a remote control, but the convenience they give you by allowing you to program open and close times and automatically set the drop.
We supply only the top motor brands, known throughout the world for their quality, namely Somfy & Moritz lithium ion and electric motors. These motors can be easily installed to automate any roller blind or curtain.
Working together with the latest automation technology these motors can be accurately controlled, with an intuitive and easy to use App interface from your smartphone or tablet.
All of our lithium ion and electrical motors work with and can be fitted to our range of blockout, sunscreen, translucent and double roller blinds to suit your esthetic and technological needs.
Electric Slave Motor:
A Slave, or Dummy, Motor requires a qualified electrician to connect to 240v power. It is always controlled by two fixed live wires to either a physical wall-switch or a Home Automated System. Common compatible systems include, Clipsal C-Bus, Philips Z-Wave and HAI Home Control System. This type of motor cannot be operated by remote control.
Electric RTS Motor:
These motors also require a qualified electrician to connect to 240v power however they differ from the Slave Motors by the addition of a radio receiver that is paired with a proprietary remote control for operation – they can also be connected simultaneously to a proprietary “Home Hub App” that allows operation and further functionality via mobile devices. There are two types of Electric RTS motors – Standard and Extra Quiet.
Li-ion Battery Motor:
Battery motors do not require any electrical work; instead they are charged in the same fashion as a mobile phone. Depending on the size/number of the battery cells the motors can last between 3 to 6 months before a recharge is required. There are two types of battery motor (1.1Nm or 2Nm) to accommodate for longer, heavier or more frequently used blinds. Li-ion motors utilize the same control methods as Electric RTS motors.
